Our phonics classes give students the basic building blocks of English equipping them to succeed in their future English studies.

From our phonics classes our student progress into our young learners programs which encourage students academically and actively to learn and want to use English in their day to day lives.

Primary Courses

Oxford Phonics World

Let us guide you through the world of Phonics…

This 5-level phonics course can be used before or alongside a main course book. Thought-provoking and engaging activities let children actively apply what they learn.

  • Oxford Phonics World 1 focuses on the English alphabet and the phonic sound each makes. This course gives beginner students a comprehensive introduction to the written form and sound of each letter.
  • Oxford Phonic World 2 teaches the students learn short vowel sounds. Students were introduced to the concepts of short vowels and blending letters together to create words.
  • For example, C-A-T, CAT!
  • Oxford Phonics World 3 introduces different spelling variations of long vowel sounds and the concept that two or more letters can combine to represent a single sound. This course builds on the foundations phonics to help students succeed in English.
  • Oxford Phonics World 4 focuses on consonant blends. This course taught students consonant clusters, consonant digraphs and irregular spellings. These concepts often present challenges for students and this course helped students master these combinations.
  • Oxford Phonics World 5, Letter Combinations, covers a variety of irregular sounds in English such as diphthongs, the schwa sound and its variation and silent letters. This course enables students to recognize and use a wider variety of sounds in English, improve their reading and pronunciation skills.

Young Learners English Program
Ages 6 to 12

A six-level course that gives the children more vocabulary, more cross-curricular content, more language practice, and more extra resources than most primary courses. It provides the children a very rich and flexible set of materials, allowing them to expand their language into other areas such as Art, Math, Science, Music, History and Geography required by most international schools. It also has a wide-range of support materials to cater to different learning styles. The content of the course is fresh, light-hearted, and FUN! The underlying methodology aims to help students develop their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
